As some may know, part of our team lives in Taiwan and our parent company, Foxconn, is based out of there. Our team members in Taiwan are celebrating Moon Festival, an East Asian harvest festival, held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar with a full moon at night, corresponding to mid-September on the Gregorian calendar. Mooncakes, a rich pastry typically filled with sweet-bean or lotus-seed paste, are traditionally eaten during the festival.
Traditionally, the festival is a time to enjoy the successful reaping of rice and wheat with food offerings made in honor of the moon. Today, it is still an occasion for outdoor reunions among friends and relatives to eat mooncakes and watch the moon, a symbol of harmony and unity.
The entire DCI family wishes you a Very Happy Moon Festival!!
